Fundezer is a medical crowdfunding platform that enables patients to raise money for their medical expenses by charitable contributions from donors. Fundezer is not a financial institution, broker or agent.

Legal Responsibility

All campaigns posted on our platform go through the verification process to ensure that they are genuine. However, Fundezer will not be legally responsible for any misinformation connected with any campaign. Before making any decisions as regards any campaign or content relating to the services provided by this platform, you should consult your professional advisers as appropriate.

You agree that all information and content accessed by using our platform is at your own risk.

Access to Information

You, as a Campaign Organizer, represent, and covenant that:

(i) all information you provide in connection with a Campaign is accurate, complete, and not likely to deceive rational Users;

(ii) all donations made to your campaign will be used to fund the medical cause described in your campaign;

(iii) you will comply with all relevant and applicable financial reporting obligations;

(iv) in the event that you share your personal data or that of any third party for any purpose, including the names, email addresses, images, videos and phone numbers of your personal contacts, you authorize fundezer to use such personal data for the purposes for which you shared it with us.

(v) You agree that fundezer reserves the right to afford donors, beneficiaries of your campaign, and law enforcement officers, information relating to your Campaign, and to assist in any investigation arising from your campaign.

Registration Obligations

In order to access certain features, you may be required to register with fundezer. You agree that every information you provide is true, accurate, current and complete as required by the registration form. Campaign organizers must register using their true names and pictorial representation.

Age Requirement

By agreeing to these terms, and using this platform, you represent and warrant to us that you are at least 18 years of age.

Use of money Donated

By using this platform, you agree that;

All campaigns raised on our platform goes through a rigorous vetting process to ensure they are genuine before they are approved.

All campaigns raised using our platform attract 7.5% administrative and professional fees.

An estimated bill from the service provider will be required for campaigns that require over NGN2,000,000.

For campaigns that require above NGN2,000,000, 70% of the funds raised will be paid directly to the service providers and 30% directly to the patient or campaigner.

In the event of death of a patient after money has been raised, the money will be used for the treatment of another patient with a similar ailment.

Electronic communications

Part of the information that fundezer will require you to submit during registration is your mobile contact information. You consent to receive communications via-email, text messages and calls, (including prerecorded voice message), from or on behalf of fundezer, at the email address or telephone number you provided. Fundezer may, without prior notice, monitor and/or record telephone conversations for our business purposes, such as quality assurance and training purposes and to protect our rights and the rights of others.

Public Content

Some of your activity on the platform such as content posted on the platform, profile information, and other information you enter in connection with your user profile, will be accessible by the public.

As a Donor, you have the option to publicly display your donation, or keep it private. Where you opt to display it, it will be accessible by the public.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
